For all the people, curious to find out what gear I use to capture the images, here is the list of my current set of photographic equipment . I use both Nikon and Canon Equipment for my photographic needs.
The most spectacular portrait lens I have used for both video and photo. This is a must have for family or fashion photographic work. I am lucky to get one of the earliest copies to test and I was blown away by it that I ended up pre-ordering it in a jiffy. I do all my family portraits as well as professional fashion/people photographic work with this lens.
The world of little things is fascinating too. I have owned in the past the non-IS non-L version of the same lens and found it to be a reliable choice when it comes to Macro photography. However, the L series, IS version is easily the best. Now I don't need to take the extra support of tripods with macro shots and in decent light capture the tiny world in all its glory. This lens doubles as an excellent portrait lens too, for some bokehlicious frames.
My favorite lens ever. This lens always finds its way into my travel kit. Be it Macro, Landscape, Wildlife or Portraits, this is as versatile a lens can get. At 2.8 and 200mm, this lens produces some amazing bokeh not to mention the sharpness with which it carves the subjects out in a frame. Have shot some incredible wildlife images with a combination of this lens and 2x iii teleconverters when I did not have the super tele. Highly recommend this for anyone using a DSLR with a good budget.
Received in June 2016 and just love it.
Many a times, I have missed a decisive moment in the wild which I saw with my eyes but failed to freeze. But with this big boy and the 15fps, that shouldn't be an issue anymore. Flagship body and the most expensive in Canon line up, so wouldn't recommend to anyone unless they know what they need out of this fellow.
I recently starting using the Nikon flagship and it is almost at par with the Canon counterpart. In my experience, this guy has an edge on AF and low light photography while the Canon beast is great at dynamic range and video features. I am lucky to use both for my photographic needs.
My latest addition. This behemoth of a camera and the 45 megapixels is pure pleasure to shoot with. It is truly a hybrid where megapixels meets AutoFocus meets full frame 4k video. My second Nikon Body and partner for all wildlife trips in 2018.
An incredible lens, amazing reach, excellent build quality and the flouride coating on the front element just keeps everything tidy and clean. Beautiful bokeh, sharpness combined with excellent range for birds and wildlife. My current primary wildlife lens.
My recent companion on long photographic walks and hikes, this amazing lens combined with the 1.4 TC version III is an amazing compact wildlife camera and is a definite recommend to any Nikon user looking for a sharp prime medium telephoto lens. AF is excellent and so is the sharpness even with the teleconverter on it.
Probably the best teleconverter from Nikon to-date. Works amazingly with my Nikon telephoto lenses producing sharp images even in not so favorable lighting. Only caveat is the loss of one-stop light which is expected from any teleconverter. I usually paid the Nikon 300mm lens with this and use that as my hiking gear and it works like a charm.
Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan
Taking pictures with a camera is one thing however organizing them and processing them in the right way to compensate for the elements camera missed to capture, is by no means trivial. The Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan is the one I'd recommend for any photographer.
